Underbool Bowls Notes

Sunshine, lightening, thunder, hail and back to sunshine again was the order of the weather when Jenny Stone and Marie Cummings were playing off for the Ladies Singles Championship on Friday, 11th November. A closely contested match, both drawing well. Four all on the 5th end, but from then on with Jenny getting a four on the next end she was able to keep ahead of Marie to finish 25 to 20 after 29 ends. Considering time out for the hail to cease and then to be swept from the green, it was a great game to watch, and a game well played. Congratulations Jenny on being Underbool Bowls Club Ladies Singles Club Champion for 2016/2017.

Wednesday evening Social bowls. Ten played, winners being Jenny Stone and Jennifer Wakefield.

Saturday Social bowls saw 12 playing and winners were Les Stone (S), Wendy Stone and Marie Cummings.

Saturday Pennant against Red Cliffs 2 at home and in rather windy conditions resulted in Underbool losing to Red Cliffs 2. This was the last home match. Final game before Pennant finals will be against Merbein next week.
