Underbool Bowls Notes

Annual Chook Night:  Wednesday February 15th was a most successful evening. Thirty players played Triples and there was much squawking and cackling on the green. Good to see so many of the surrounding community attending for a good night out at Bowls. Chicken prizes all round and a delicious chicken and sandwich supper. All made possible by the sponsorship of Corbett Rural Supplies and Wesfarmers Federation Insurance. President Robert Gloster thanked the representative Sponsors, Ashley Corbett and Daniel Cawood, who were both present.

Winners of the evening were, Daniel Pryse, Noelene Crow and Daniel Cawood.

Runners/Up, Ashley Corbett, Wendy Stone and Jim Elliott.

Seeing the club had such a successful Chook Night, maybe with all the males of the club going fishing this week, we could have a “fish and chip” night or after talking to Simmo and Bob, “a tuna casserole night”!

Social Bowls: Saturday 11th February winners were, Russell Stone and Merle Pole. The six who turned up to play on Saturday18th. February had a couple of friendly games with the declared winners being Colin Aikman, Colleen Gloster and Ray Gloster.

Many members have visited sister Clubs recently and enjoyed games at Sunraysia, Hopetoun, Murrayville and Ouyen. At Ouyen’s Country Care sponsored day on Sunday 19th. February, a very excited team of Robert and Colleen Gloster and Jim and Evelyn Elliott won the honour of the highest score in the first game.
