A huge thank you to Fiona Scott, and earlier in the year Jo Goodman, for delivering the bakery goods to Underbool three times a week during the school term. We wouldn’t be able to have such a regular delivery of fresh bakery goods without these ladies. Thanks also to Gloster’s who have helped out when needed and locals who have volunteered over the school holidays.

Bowls News

3rd division Pennant travelled to Euston on Saturday having an overall win of 60 shots to 50, with 2 of the 3 rinks winning. 3rd division are 2nd on the Ladder.

4th division had a forfeit from Euston and are now 2nd on the Ladder. 

With 4th division having a forfeit, there was social bowls with 6 playing, Marie Cumming, Anne Stone & Maggie Winslow won against Murry Lockett, Jennifer Wakefield & Wendy Stone. 

Our Xmas break up evening sponsored by Jasons IGA Ouyen, will be held on Thursday the 18th of December. Names in by 5.30pm for a 6pm start, pending weather/heat.

The forecast for Thursday is 42c. so will most likely have our meal before we play bowls and eat sometime after 6pm. Hopefully we can get a couple of games in when it cools off a bit. 

On Sunday the game played between Simmo & Fritz, playing for a place in the Men’s singles championship final. A very tight game  early on being 15 all, then Simmo got going with some very good draw bowls to won 25 to 16.

The Men’s final will now be played between Scott Brammer & Steve Simmonds, Monday the 22nd of Dec. at 5pm. Everyone most welcome and then have a drink on the winner!! 

The Ladies final between Marie Cummings & Jennifer Wakefield was a very tight game for the most, with Jennifer coming through to win 26 to 20.

This Saturday 3rd Div. have the bye.      4th Division play Irymple at Irymple.

What a great result in Div 3 pennant on Saturday at Mildura in pretty windy conditions, with all 3 rinks winning and an overall win of 74 shots to 45. This now has Div.3 second on the Ladder.

Div 4 had a bye. Div 4 are now 3rd on the Ladder.
