Coffee with a COP

Wednesday 1st December saw Underbool Policeman Al Heintze host this event on the forecourt of the Underbool Police Station. Over 30 locals representative of all age groups, responded to the invitation to come for a cuppa and chat with local police.

Those who attended were given the opportunity to fill out a survey and discuss any issues of concern as well as enjoy a lovely coffee from the local coffee van 'spiilt milk'.

Al said he was very pleased with the response and the overall engagement from the community. Initial assessment of the surveys indicated that excessive speed along the Mallee Highway and particularly through town, was one of the biggest issues to locals. This is something that will continue to be addressed by police.

Police from Ouyen (Sergeant Peter McNair and Ben Frost) and Murrayville (Ross Huxtable) supported Al at the event and were pleased to see people come and enjoy the occasion.

Following the success of the Underbool event, another Coffee with a Cop is planned for Ouyen in January of 2022.
