Pink Lakes Pantry – Footy Tipping 2026 Windup
Well, that’s it for season 2026 and what a season it’s been. I am happy to announce that we will be having our Annual Windup on Friday 4th September at the Underbool Bowls Club. This will commence at 5.30pm and all Tippers and their family and friends are welcome to come and join us for drinks (bought from the Bar) and nibbles (supplied). This will be followed by the announcements of the Winner, Runner Up and the Wooden Spooner for Season 2026. It would be appreciated if you could text me if you are intending to attend and anyone else who is coming along for the evening for catering purposes. Thank you all once again for participating.
Cheers, Colleen 0407 946376

Bowls Notes
The Underbool Ladies Star Day which was scheduled for Tuesday 25th August was postponed, and will now be played on Tuesday 20th October.
There was no DJ’S for the Underbool Mallee Hens on Thursday 27th August as they had the bye.
Friday 28th saw a 100 up match played between Thomas and Dallas.
After being tied at 100 all, Thomas came away with the win in a very close game.
Pennant results for Saturday 29th August – Our Two Divisions had away matches in perfect weather conditions.
Div 3 travelled to Nangiloc where they enjoyed lunch together at the Nangy Tavern. Then onto the greens “to battle it out”, but went down to Nangiloc, with a win in only one rink.
Div 4 took a drive to Euston, where they also had some team bonding over a lovely lunch at the Euston Club. Good bowling with good company, but the beautiful weather was the only winner for
Div 4 as they were narrowly defeated in both rinks.
The Club draws have been posted for the 2026/27 Championship Men’s Singles and Pairs. Please check the draws and keep the matches “rolling on”.
There will be no Pennant for the Sunraysia playing area on Saturday 5th September, so enjoy the weekend off.
Wishing all the Dads a Very Happy Fathers’ Day on Sunday! Good Bowling all!

UNDERBOOL PROGRESS GROUP INC. Annual General Meeting
Wednesday 16 September 2026 7.00 pm Underbool-Linga Hall Malkin Ave Underbool.
The Underbool Progress Group Annual General Meeting is approaching, and all community members are warmly invited to attend.
As part of the AGM, all committee positions will be declared vacant, and several long-serving members have advised they will be retiring from the committee.
Our community has been fortunate to have dedicated volunteers who have given countless hours over many years. We sincerely thank them for their commitment and everything they have done for Underbool.
Now it’s time for the next generation of volunteers to step forward.
Without a new committee, the Progress Group will be unable to continue operating, which will have significant impacts on our community.
This includes the future of:
Australia Day celebrations
ANZAC Day commemorations
Community gatherings and events
Pink Lakes Pantry Community Shop,
Every role, whether large or small, makes a difference. You don’t need years of experience—just a willingness to help your community.
If you’ve ever enjoyed one of our events, shopped at the Pink Lakes Pantry, or simply want to see Underbool continue to thrive, please consider becoming involved.
Your community needs you.
We encourage everyone to attend the AGM, hear what is involved, and consider nominating for a position.
