5th November, 2017

Skies are overcast, rumbles of thunder can be heard, the wind is increasing and harvest has stopped because it's raining! The rain started in earnest about 4pm.

This morning, Underbool grain bunkers were being tarped in readiness for the forecast 30 - 40 mm rain coming so no barley was being received at the silo today.

Headers, trucks and tractors with chaser bins are tarped and resting until crops are dried out and ready for the harvest to continue.

And all is quiet at the Underbool silo......

NB : by 8.30pm, about 30mm rain was recorded
