Underbool Bowls Notes
On Sunday we had our Presentation/Windup day, all though it was a bit chilly, we had 20 players play 2 x 4 x 2 pairs.
Alan Willsmore won the closest to the kitty with a great shot landing about 2 cm away.
Winners for the day, Les Stone & Raelene Winslow and runners up Col Lockett & Wendy Stone.
Championship Trophies where presented to the winners for the 24/25 season.
It was great to see a good turnout for the BBQ tea, having about 35 enjoy the meal which also included some lovey sweets.

Underbool Bowls Notes

Pink Lakes Pantry Paper Delivery
As I have previously posted, the Pink Lakes Pantry has to organise the paper pickup and delivery from Ouyen on Saturdays and Public Holidays. It is becoming very difficult to find volunteers to do this for us and this is even more difficult during footy season. A huge thank you to Lorraine Hickmott also known as "my mum", who kindly offered to pick up the papers from Ouyen on Saturday, and travel to Underbool much earlier than she had previously planned to. Thanks mum! If there is anyone else who would like to help out with the paper pickup at anytime, please contact me. Cheers, Colleen

The Underbool Swimming Pool Advisory Committee would like to thank Joy Lynch for her service and commitment to our local swimming pool.
Joy has spent hundreds of hours raising funds, lifeguarding, teaching swimming and serving on the ever changing pool committees over the last couple of decades.
Joy served on the current Advisory Committee for the past 7 years and has been an avid supporter of developing the services and facilities of the Underbool Pool and seeking possible solutions for staffing issues.
Joy, through her role on the committee participated in the collection of data, providing feedback on plans and sourcing support letters for the pool's recent development grant.
The current Committee’s role is to meet with Council and Aligned Leisure to advise on and discuss local community ideas, concerns and issues.
With Joy’s resignation, this opens up a position on the Underbool Swimming Pool Advisory Committee for a local community member to join.

Pink Lakes Pantry Tipping Comp Round 7
This week seemed to be a bit easier with several Tippers getting 8 out of 9 games. Our Leader after Rd 7 is Helen Gloster on 46. In 2nd place is Elaine Lockett on 45 and 3rd on 44 are Luke Nathan, Stef Yetman, Andrew McMahen and Colleen Aikman. Well done everyone!!
Our next Underbool CFA General Meeting will be held at the Underbool CFA Shed on 2nd May 2025 at 6pm. The last meeting including the AGM and General meeting were held on 19/04/2024. At this meeting the following members were elected or re-elected to committee roles:- Captain: Cameron Gloster

District 18 VFBV President – Blue Wyatt was in attendance and congratulated Underbool Brigade on their commitment to the community and interest in leadership roles by younger members.
A presentation was made by Eddie Tichelaar of Eastey Fire Trucks. In February 2024 Eddie bought ex-Underbool’s ACCO tanker which was assigned to Underbool from October 1983 until it was taken out of service in 2003.
Presentations were made by BASO Noela Barker and outgoing Captain Col Lockett.
General business was discussed including radio updates, Ultra-light vehicle, new shirts and new plastic chairs.
