Underbool Golf news.
On the last golf day for the season, 5 ladies and 9 men braved the cold, wet and windy conditions and played a fun round of Ambrose.
The course was a bit long, but made it fun with a few laughs trying to find your ball.
After a few holes, the ladies retired to the club house for some warmth, afternoon tea and to dry the shoes and socks out in front of the fire, while the men continued on with their game.
A new recruit (Georgie Aikman) showed the men how to 'putt' and was stoked that she got the ball in the hole!. Travis Latta's long golf socks couldn't bring his group home with a win, but Garth, Daniel, PI and Pete showed them how it was done.
At the 19th hole, the old game of 'The Cream Mile' was brought out of the archives which brought back a few memories and laughs. Daniel Pryse was first to be banished to the carpet, Jim Wakefield and Ross Stone showed good form with the coin toss, but couldn't match Camo's style of ricochet to get closest to the can.
The course has good cover for next year, so we hope it can bring a few more locals back to the club for some good hitting and laughs. See you next season!
