Tennis is back!! Saturday @ 12:30pm
Twenty players came for a hit last Saturday. Two teams were picked, thanks to captains, and everyone played three sets. It was a very enjoyable and social afternoon for all involved.
Tennis will be played again this Saturday, 8th February.
$5 per player per week is requested to cover membership and ball fees. Families are asked to bring something small to share for afternoon tea. A BBQ will follow most weeks.
A post asking for names will go up on Thursday so we can plan what format will be played. Numbers are looking good but if you know of anyone that would like to join, we would love some extra numbers.
SCHOOL NEWS
Underbool & Tempy Mini school swimming sports will be held at the Underbool Pool Friday 14th February, starting at 10am. Gold coin donation. BBQ lunch, tea & coffee, bottled water for a small fee. All friends and family are welcome to attend to support the kids.
Support the School- Buy an ice-cream at the pool! Don't forget 'Icy poles' or 'Splits' are currently for sale at the pool for $2.00.
Underbool Bowls Club Ladies Championship Fours
Underbool Bowls Club Ladies Championship Fours was played on Sunday February 2nd. Marie Cummings (S), Colleen Gloster, Nita Wandel and Raelene Winslow, played Jen Stone (S), Bernadette Stone, Jennifer Wakefield and Noelene Crow. Marie”s team led all game to win 21/13. Best of bowling to the winners who now play at Ouyen in the Sunraysia Ladies Championship Fours on the 5th and 6th March.
Also on Sunday 2nd February the team of Robert Gloster, Alan Stone, Robert Pole and John Cummings travelled to Donald to participate in the Donald Golf Bowls Club Star Day. On this visit although not bringing home a win, they were made very welcome and had a most enjoyable day.
Social bowls on Saturday 1st February, 11 members played with Robert Gloster, Marie Cummings and Jen Stone, winners of the day.
