RUOK? 2021 Day 9 September 2021

This year MTHCS is recognising RUOK? Day with a week of activities and checking in with the folks around us. We recognise that most of us are experiencing a whole host of extra challenges at the moment and that means it is more important than ever to ask ‘RU really OK?’

So take a moment to check in on yourself and then look out for your neighbours, colleagues, friends….

If you’re not sure how to start a conversation head to https://www.ruok.org.au/how-to-ask there is lots of great resources there.

Here are a few tips to help us through at the moment:

  • Limit the amount of news you are taking in, just check on one daily bulletin, or give yourself 5 minutes looking at social media
  • Make sure your news is from a reputable source
  • Check in with a friend
  • Go for a walk
  • Find a comfy spot to sit a read a book
  • Reach out if you need help, there are some phone numbers listed at the end of this notice

These are all really simple things but sometimes we forget to stop and do the simple things.
