Pool opening hours will be

Regular weekday opening hours- 4-7pm

Weekends and public holidays- 2-7pm

Opening hours are dependent on weather and the pool may not open if temperatures are forecast below 26 degrees

Hours may change and special opening times may apply at the discretion of the committee. This will be advertised at the earliest convenience, and also on notice board at the pool gates.

Season passes or casual entry to be paid on entry to the pool.

Casual Entry (adult) - $3.00

Casual Entry (child/student/pensioner) - $2.50

Season Membership (adult) - $35.00

Season Membership (family) - $65.00

Season Membership (child/student/pensioner) - $30.00

We are fortunate to have such a beautiful facility here in Underbool, so please come along and enjoy the pool this season! 

 

Swimming Lessons

Joy and Prue are looking at holding swimming lessons on Mondays and/or Tuesdays (depending on numbers)
For children in 4 year old kinder to grade 2.
Younger children will be catered for with swimming familiarisation once the weather warms up.

Underbool Bowls Notes

Plenty of bowling going on at home and away. Nita Wandel, Bernadette Stone and Jeni Boseley

played at Merbein Star Day last Wednesday 2nd November and enjoyed the day.

Robert and Colleen Gloster and Alan and Jen Stone attended the Wentworth Murray Darling Fours on Sunday 6th November and came Runners/Up going down by only 1 ½ points to the Winners of the day. Congratulations all.

Steve Simmonds, Howard Crothers, Col Lockett and Robert Gloster have been selected to play in the Walsh Shield at Irymple on November 13th.

On the home front, members are getting their championship games played. Congratulations to Marie Cummings and Jen Stone who have come through to play off for the final of the Ladies Singles Championship. This will be on Friday 11th November at 5pm.

There being no Pennant on Saturday 5th. November, it was an opportunity for a good roll up for social bowls. 18 played Triples, alternating Lead, Third and Skip. Winners were Howard Crothers, Russell Stone and Ray Gloster on 65 ½ points, Runners/up, Marie Cummings, Col Lockett and Nita Wandel on 55 points.  The day wound up with a BBQ Tea. Many thanks to Russell and Anne Stone and Les and Wendy Stone again for donated trophies.

The Club members send best wishes to John and Veronica Stone who are on the not so well list.

 

XMAS

Would your child like to receive a letter from Santa? Grab a special santa post card from the post office and for the price of a Christmas stamp (65c) they will get a reply letter from Santa! (Must have stamp and correct address on it) we have a special santa mailbox in the post office.  Thankyou donation $2

 

Mallee Track Health & Community Service

Centre Hours: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 9am till 3.30pm.

Podiatrist:  The Podiatrist is visiting 6 weekly, next visit will be November 22nd, and December 20th.

RFDS Optometry Clinic:  The next RFDS Clinic to be held in Underbool will be Thursday December 15th.  Appointments to be made by ringing MTH&CS on 5092 1111. There are still plenty of appointments available.

** Appointments are required for all clinics at Murrayville, Underbool and Ouyen. Please contact the Ouyen Service Centre on (03) 5018 8600 no later than the Friday prior to the upcoming clinic.

 

There have been a number of changes made to the National Immunisation Program (NIP) in 2016, including the introduction of the No Jab No Play and No Jab No Pay immunisation requirements. This has resulted in the changes to the above clinics which will assist in immunisation services being readily available and easily accessible to the community.

UNDERBOOL CFA

As the Fire Danger Period is proposed to start on Monday the 14th of Nov. Please have your properties cleaned up prior to this date.

 

There will be 2 fire fighting bomber planes based at Ouyen from the 10th of Nov. in readiness for any grass/crop/scrub fire outbreak. Please be aware that anyone entering a fire ground, be it on CFA vehicle or private unit, needs to know the procedure of the bombers, as they can drop 3 tonne of water in a few seconds.

 

There are Voluntary Grain Harvesting Table/Guides available from the Fire Station, Corbett Rural Supplies, and Gloster’s Garage, which relates to Temperature, Relative Humidity, and Wind Speed for safe harvesting on Very High Fire Danger Days. We encourage farmers to take advantage of these guides and to follow them.
